The Squash Puppies were born ABOUT July 4, 2012 and will PROBABLY weigh in the range of 15-35 lbs., but we are REALLY guessing at breeds here and if ultimate weight/breed is a real determination, these pups may not be for you. Their father is our Alfonzo and he weighs in the 15 lb. range and we did see their mother and she was a shrunken black lab kind of girl weighing about 50 lbs. We were called to this same location about a year ago to pick up a litter of pups and their mom. The 'humans' (if you could call them that) decided they wanted to keep a female pup. We tried our best to have them turn it over to us, but they just had to have her. Well, the pup we left behind is the mother to this litter and, somehow, she lost an eye in that years time and now it is just a hole in her face. There were a couple of other dogs on the premises, both had broken legs swinging in the air while they walked on three. We see a lot of things when we go to pick dogs up (of course, most of these people, that allow their dogs to breed, don't have a car), but to the staff member that made this trip it was the worse she's seen so far. However, these adorable puppies are as care free and loving as you can get, it is as if they realize how fortunate they were to have landed here. Now, let's make their world, for the rest of their lives, the very best we possibly can.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $400.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, a 4.5# bag of Science Diet food, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
