I Was TRULY Loved!!! Marley was born about March 25, 2013 and weighs about 40 lbs. Just look at her crazy fur!!! It matches her silly personality. She was left at the pound because they had too many dogs, not sure what that means, but I'm wondering if Marley was chosen because she was so adorable that she'd find a home easier than some of the others. She was truly loves, two pages of notes come with her from the former owner. She is house broken, good on leash, loves kids of all ages and is wonderful with dogs! She is a major snuggler and loves to curl up with you, don't tell her she's a little big for a lap dog, she doesn't care. She loves to play, but is not hyper and she loves to swim and play in the snow, just wait until she sees a northern snowfall!!! There is one thing you need to know, she will dig out of a fence if she sees small critters on the other side, so you'll want to be sure your fence is secure on the bottom. Marley promises to be a special addition to your home! The 'Reed' group of dogs came from a high kill pound in TN. Since we've been going to this shelter, for the last several months, they have not had to kill for space or time served. It had been five weeks since we were there and they begged us to come back as they were down to the wire and needed us desperately. So, once again, our Facebook fans came to the rescue and donated close to the amount that we needed to be able to make the journey. Thank you all SO much and thanks to Katie who makes this 26 hour round trip in about 36 hours - good thing she's young!!!! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $325.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
