I'm One Lucky Boy!
Ranger Barrie was born about October 28, 2006 and weighs about 50 lbs. He is just a love, not barky, and has learned to take life as it comes. He came from a hoarding situation where he lived inside only so we are going to be working on the house training, he's smart so we are hoping won't be a problem for long. He is wonderful with the other dogs, just a happy go lucky kind of boy. Ranger is special, our vet took several x-rays because he has a very odd gait that leans to the side. His hips are sound, spine and knees look fine, so Dr. Kernahan feels he has a neuromuscular disorder common to collie breeds. Nothing can be done to change it and it will not shorten his lifespan - it is what it is. Ranger doesn't really care, he thinks he's normal and gets around fine, he just looks different. Dr. did say that he knew of a border that lived on a farm with this disorder and he would herd the sheep for an hour, totally collapse for a time, and then get back up and do it all over again. So, I guess, the only requirement we'd have of a new owner is that they be strong enough to pick him up if he does ever collapse and needs to be moved indoors, etc. And, perhaps, no small children that could tip him over. We know there is someone out there that is going to love this guy just the way he is, he is very lovable. Here is a link:

The Adoption Fee for this dog is $200.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
