Bonnie Phillips was born June 1, 2001 and weighs about 65 lbs. He is here because her human Mom died and Dad found a new woman. You know....the dogs probably reminded him too much of his dear departed wife. Bonnie is a nice dog, doing fine here, good with the other dogs and she's fine with cats. We are told that busy, noisey, kids make her nervous. She's wonderful in the house, good on leash and fine in the car. She's been healthy and happy or so she thought. I did notice a very slight problem of 'spay incontinence' so common amoung older females. It may have been brought on by the stress of being here and one, inexpensive, pill a day takes care of it and I have to wonder if she goes to a more relaxed setting that it will go away, but wanted to let you know. Other than that, great dog, just a little on the elderly side. She'll be here waiting for a new human to come along and love her and make her a priority in their lives. She surely doesn't act her age and, right now, can keep up with the best of them.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $200.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, a 4.5# bag of Science Diet food, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
