Artica was born July 26, 2011 and will probably weigh in the 50 lb. range give or take. He loves playing with the other dogs and is a quiet boy. His favorite thing to do in the evening is lounge on your lap. If you want a dog to stay on the floor you need to keep looking because there is no way you are going to keep this smart little cookie off your lap! He is happy, playful, fun and funny - a clown in a dog suit! As with most huskies, Artica will need to be kept on leash or have a secure fenced yard. A husky wanderlust is a strong breed trait. Artica is good in the car, always ready for a ride. Artica is the lucky winner! By the luck of the draw Mark Patrick from Tuxedo's K9 Training Camp will deduct $50.00 off his Basic Obedience rate if Artika is adopted into Monroe County. Here's Mark's info:

Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $275.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, a 4.5# bag of Science Diet food, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet.
Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable just because your life has changed. Before you decide to bring a pet into your home, make absolutely sure that it will be a lifetime commitment. When our pets leave us we want them to go to their forever homes. By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt, but also others in or needing to come into rescue.
