Libra was born October 15, 2005 and weighs about 65 lbs. She's big for a Husky and sure has had one rough life looking much older than what we are told and how her teeth look. The poor girl has some rear end lameness which would benefit from a rimadyl like product. We are told if you mess back there she will growl and she also has some food issues. She arrived in very poor condition, but after a couple of days began to perk up and UP went the tail! She is a good girl and gets along with other dogs and has been with children as young as 6 just fine as long as they don't get around the food or her rear quarters. So, a home without little kids is going to be best for her. She's wonderful in the house, great on leash, loves car rides and stays with you off leash when you are outside with her. She is with us due to a move.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $150.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, a 4.5# bag of Science Diet food, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable just because your life has changed.
