Sunshine was born about January 10, 2010 and weighs about 60 lbs. She came to us very pregnant and has delivered gorgeous babies that are now finding their very own homes.
Sunshine is housetrained, affectionate, and well behaved. She's great with other dogs & cats. She will need more work walking on leash, as she's strong & pulls, and cannot be trusted off leash, as the husky instinct is to run. In foster care, we made the mistake of trusting her off leash, and she ran about a half mile down the road. Thankfully we live in the country, and we were able to quickly bring her home, by encouraging her to jump in the car, as she loves car rides. Sunshine is also crate trained, and knows the command 'sit'. She's smart and will quickly learn other commands.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $300.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, a 4.5# bag of Science Diet food, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable just because your life has changed. Before you decide to bring a pet into your home, make absolutely sure that it will be a lifetime commitment. When our pets leave us we want them to go to their forever homes. By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt, but also others in or needing to come into rescue.
