Ginger was born September 9, 2010 and weighs in the 75 lb. range. She is good on leash, fine in the car, loves to jump in the bathtub and is a major snuggler. We adopted her to a single mom with 4 little kids that came looking for a nice adult dog, but then they saw her as a gorgeous puppy and, sadly, they should have kept to their original plan because they didn't have time or energy for a puppy and she ended up in the street and hit by a car. She is just fine, but does have a limp on one front leg. She still runs and plays and has a good time with all the other dogs, but probably wouldn't be good if you want to jog a few miles a day. Besides, one of her favorite things to do is sleep and she adores curling up and gently playing with a small dog tucked under her chin, it's the funniest thing! This beauty will be just fine in a home with children. One thing is for sure, you won't have a cold lap! Ginger is far too interested in cats to live with any.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $275.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, a 4.5# bag of Science Diet food, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable just because your life has changed. Before you decide to bring a pet into your home, make absolutely sure that it will be a lifetime commitment. When our pets leave us we want them to go to their forever homes.
