Claire was born February 27, 2002 and weighs about 25 lbs. She is a cute little girl that needs a new home because her humans 'couldn't spend enough quality time with her'. She's been a perfectly healthy girl that 'might have, at one time, had a rabies somewhere', but never been to a vet's office for anything until now. She's making many adjustments and doing really well accepting the changes. She is good with other dogs, cats, good on leash and going for rides is fun! We were told she was great with children 6-14 years, but since she can be a bit nippy with strangers we'd like to find her an adult him that is willing to supervise her behavior with any strangers. She has never bitten anyone but has gotten a pant leg or two. Claire is a smarty! She knows to come, stay, sit, lay down and up (her favorite) and she ADORES her toys!!!!
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
The adoption fee for this dog is $225. For a senior or high maintenance dog (behavioral/medical issues) the fee will be more negotiable. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, a 4.5# bag of Science Diet food, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable just because your life has changed. Before you decide to bring a pet into your home, make absolutely sure that it will be a lifetime commitment. When our pets leave us we want them to go to their forever homes. By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt, but also others in or needing to come into rescue.
