Jewels was born about January 5, 014 and will probably weigh about 50 lbs. This beauty was saved in the nick of time from a rural NC shelter. She is a very friendly dog who seems eager to make acquaintances with everyone she sees.. She also seems to get along well with other dogs and loves to romp around and play with any that are willing to join in. In new situations she seems to become overly excited and sometimes forgets her manners, but does settle down. Jewels also seems to be already housebroken with no accidents in her foster home. She does seem to be slightly protective of her food at dinner time, but has learned to be respectful of the other dogs and their dishes. She seems to be smart and food motivated too. At bedtime she prefers to sleep near her human, but accepts a crate as well. Jewels was not around children in her foster home, but as she loves people so much she should be fine with them. Overall, Jewels is a wonderful young dog who would be great with a family who will give her lots of love and teach her new things. She'd love to be included in your adventures, such as hikes and car rides. In return she will shower her new family with lots of love and kisses! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $350.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
