A Lady Never Reveals Her Age!!! Evie Reed was born about July 2, 2004 and weighs a little too much at about 30 lbs. She just has a little of that middle aged spread thing going on, but we tell her she is perfect! She is so very, happy, friendly, and sweet! She's wonderful with the other dogs, fine in the car and on leash, and good about being in a crate. She's adorable and, so far, we've seen nothing negative at all. Oh, we had her teeth cleaned and she loves her new smile! The 'Reed' group of dogs came from a high kill pound in TN. Since we've been going to this shelter, for the last several months, they have not had to kill for space or time served. It had been five weeks since we were there and they begged us to come back as they were down to the wire and needed us desperately. So, once again, our Facebook fans came to the rescue and donated close to the amount that we needed to be able to make the journey. Thank you all SO much and thanks to Katie who makes this 26 hour round trip in about 36 hours - good thing she's young!!!! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $200.00. All of the dogs from the south are heart worm tested. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
