Damato was born about March 1, 2012 and should top out about 25 lbs. He is just adorable and as for breed, well, you decide, we did the best we could. Please understand this dog will shed, he is not hypo-allergenic. He came from a local home on a street that seems to be a constant supplier of dogs for us, not a good street. They claim he was found in a town about 30 miles away, but can't say where or when. Just in case I did notify dog control and they had no lost reports meeting his description. However he got there we are glad he is here since he came looking a bit weary. He was good in the car, fine with other dogs, but we are told he may not be great with very young children. He's been nothing but a doll with us and no matter what the true story is someone out there is going to love him to pieces. Update: We've noticed that Damato is going to be a special needs dog. We have one opinion that says there is nothing structurally wrong with his eyes, yet he seems to have a problem with sight. We are also noticing that he may have a hearing problem. We have a second opinion with Dr. Albert of All Creatures on the 31st and he's diagnosed some of our weirder problems.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $250.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable just because your life has changed. Before you decide to bring a pet into your home, make absolutely sure that it will be a lifetime commitment. When our pets leave us we want them to go to their forever homes. By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt, but also others in or needing to come into rescue.
