Reed was born under a trailer on 5/1/12 and had the very good luck of being scooped up by a gentle human. Reed , her siblings, and their mother happily settled in at Joyful Rescues. We love holding Reed because she has a little funny growl sound that she makes when she's first picked up. We think she's telling us the news of the days and other things that she wants us to know! Reed proudly wears one white stocking and she's playful, loves chasing the laser light or the spring toys, and particularly likes watching the birds and chipmonks outside the big windows in the cat room. Reed is the 'Baby Grand' of young cats!
A cat can live 12-18+ years if cared for properly. Be sure you are able to care for it for its lifetime. The average adoption fee for kittens is $85 up to six months old. Cats are $75, but may be higher or lower based on their adoptability. All kittens/cats come with a 3.5# bag of Science Diet and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, Advantaged and tested negative for FIV/FELV.

Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable just because your life has changed. Before you decide to bring a pet into your home, make absolutely sure that it will be a lifetime commitment. When our pets leave us we want them to go to their forever homes. By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt, but also others in or needing to come into rescue.
