Thank You Sandy For Bringing Us Here! Julia was born about August 27, 2006 and weighs about 50 lbs. This is one of those times that we are so thankful we exist and so thankful that a previous adopter, named Sandy, intervened and is directly responsible for saving 4 lives! It seems a man died that owned 4 dogs and a friend took the dogs in, but after 3 weeks decided they were too much for her and had an appointment to euthanize them the next morning! Somehow Sandy heard about this and went to get the dogs and brought them to us. The dogs conditions were not that bad, but not that good. There has been apparently no vet care in a long time, if ever. Julie came to us with an infected nipple that was leaking, but this will be all cleared up quickly, can't imagine how painful that was and, of course, she wasn't spayed so she had to go through that at this stage of her life. Other than that she is a little pigeon toed which makes her all the cuter! At least her skull hadn't been bashed in like one of the other dogs she came in with. So, we are told she is kids and she's wonderful with other dogs. She was fine in the car and it was a bit of a drive. She is good on leash and the best part of this girl is that when you look in her eyes you see thankfulness and love shining through even though she is a little uncertain of all that has happened in the last month. Someone is going to love this pretty little girl!!!! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $250.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
